Cheers Disney fanatics since The Sorcerer’s Apprentice which is an upcoming 2010 Disney family adventure film is set to be released on July 16, 2010. This film is an innovative and epic comedy adventure about a sorcerer and his miserable apprentice who are seized into the center of an ancient divergence between good and evil. This is directed by Jon Turteltaub, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and lead by big-time actors Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel. It is a live action re-imagining of the Mickey Mouse Sorcerer’s Apprentice segment in Disney’s Fantasia, which in turn is based on the late 1890s symphonic poem by Paul Dukas and 1797 Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ballad. I hope you will not treat is to be BBC1′s TV show children’s series ‘Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ starring Max Somerset.
The movie is all about an average college student (Jay Baruchel) whom is halfheartedly recruited to work for a sorcerer (Nicolas Cage), who gives him a short course or training in the art of science and magic to prepare him for a combat against the forces of darkness in modern Manhattan. Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (played by Alfred Molina). Blake can’t do it alone that is why he recruited Dave Stutler for him to have a good battle against his great rival. It will take all the courage Dave can collect to survive his unbending training, to save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
